three men, fourteen strings and a whole lot of weirdness...
what do you get if you cross the welsh rugby team with lou reed and coventry? well,
apart from a huge amount of substance abuse and some out of tune singing, you may be
forgiven for supposing the answer might be "not very much".
dear reader, think on those
words and be surprised, for what you might find is one of several corners of
the wierdstring band.
the wierdstring band. a wholly intriguing (and completely unexpected) mixture of
fiddle, double bass and the acoustic guitar, bring you all of those elements and, just for
good measure, chuck in some more bits of folk, gypsy swing, heavy rock, ski, home-fired
treasures and far-flung flotsam.
